Bad Day LA Download Full Version 11: The Story of Anthony Williams, a Homeless Hero

We may have multiple downloads for few games when different versions are available. Also, we try to upload manuals and extra documentation when possible. If you have additional files to contribute or have the game in another language, please contact us!

Bad Day LA is American McGee's latest foray into the weird and unexpected. The premise of the game is essentially all manner of natural and man-made disaster happening all on the same day (from terrorist attacks to tsunamis), in the crowded, surly, smog-choked streets of Los Angeles. The anti-hero is Anthony, a homeless person full of crude behavior, and a distaste for almost all things. Yet he is forced time and again into the throes of LA's disastrous fate as the "only guy" able to help. As I've been following the creation of this game for some time, I was intrigued by the satirical view of America's worst fears brought to light in an unapologetic in-your-face manner. To put it short, this game had potential.

People who downloaded American McGee presents Bad Day LA have also downloaded:Aliens versus Predator 2, Area-51, Alien Trilogy, Aliens versus Predator, Alpha Prime, America's Army, American McGee's Alice, American McGee's Grimm: A Boy Learns What Fear Is

Part of the reason Anthony is a Good Samaritan is because he'll need to do good deeds to keep his karma positive. That's because there's a color-coded "threat advisory" level in the game (taken directly from the Department of Homeland Security's color-coded system). When Anthony does a good deed, he gets a happy face. If he does a bad deed, he gets a frown face, which boosts the threat level. At high threat levels, civilians will attack Anthony in anger. And at higher threat levels, the LAPD will come after you, SWAT team and all. So a large part of the game will be trying to maintain the game's threat level by doing good deeds, even when you've got your hands full battling zombies and terrorists at the same time.

American McGee's back again with yet another crazy title for us. Bad Day LA, far from taking us into a darker Wonderland world full of psychotic elements and insane character, it takes us to a different insanity world. The creativity and imagination seen in his games are easy to recognize, and helps bring a weird diversity into the industry. But all this creativity is useless if the game itself doesn't back it up. So, does Bad Day LA do justice to its own story?

This game is a pure representation of society and its crisis according to the author. Unlike American McGee's Alice, this game is a social commentary and critique, whereas Alice's is just a darker, more insane version of Lewis Carroll's classic. Bad Day LA is a darker and more insane version of Los Angeles, except that this title is certainly full of issues. We'll talk about those in a moment though.

Bad Day LA is an interesting idea, with a cool plot and a nice social commentary. It's too bad that the game itself doesn't really back up the whole thing. You end up with a frustrating experience of a great idea trapped in a game that's full of flaws. Comedy is a key part of the game, and while it does make you laugh from time to time, it's not excellent at this either

19. Following a period of irrational confidence in progress and human abilities, some sectors of society are now adopting a more critical approach. We see increasing sensitivity to the environment and the need to protect nature, along with a growing concern, both genuine and distressing, for what is happening to our planet. Let us review, however cursorily, those questions which are troubling us today and which we can no longer sweep under the carpet. Our goal is not to amass information or to satisfy curiosity, but rather to become painfully aware, to dare to turn what is happening to the world into our own personal suffering and thus to discover what each of us can do about it.

42. Greater investment needs to be made in research aimed at understanding more fully the functioning of ecosystems and adequately analyzing the different variables associated with any significant modification of the environment. Because all creatures are connected, each must be cherished with love and respect, for all of us as living creatures are dependent on one another. Each area is responsible for the care of this family. This will require undertaking a careful inventory of the species which it hosts, with a view to developing programmes and strategies of protection with particular care for safeguarding species heading towards extinction.

53. These situations have caused sister earth, along with all the abandoned of our world, to cry out, pleading that we take another course. Never have we so hurt and mistreated our common home as we have in the last two hundred years. Yet we are called to be instruments of God our Father, so that our planet might be what he desired when he created it and correspond with his plan for peace, beauty and fullness. The problem is that we still lack the culture needed to confront this crisis. We lack leadership capable of striking out on new paths and meeting the needs of the present with concern for all and without prejudice towards coming generations. The establishment of a legal framework which can set clear boundaries and ensure the protection of ecosystems has become indispensable; otherwise, the new power structures based on the techno-economic paradigm may overwhelm not only our politics but also freedom and justice.

62. Why should this document, addressed to all people of good will, include a chapter dealing with the convictions of believers? I am well aware that in the areas of politics and philosophy there are those who firmly reject the idea of a Creator, or consider it irrelevant, and consequently dismiss as irrational the rich contribution which religions can make towards an integral ecology and the full development of humanity. Others view religions simply as a subculture to be tolerated. Nonetheless, science and religion, with their distinctive approaches to understanding reality, can enter into an intense dialogue fruitful for both.

83. The ultimate destiny of the universe is in the fullness of God, which has already been attained by the risen Christ, the measure of the maturity of all things.[53] Here we can add yet another argument for rejecting every tyrannical and irresponsible domination of human beings over other creatures. The ultimate purpose of other creatures is not to be found in us. Rather, all creatures are moving forward with us and through us towards a common point of arrival, which is God, in that transcendent fullness where the risen Christ embraces and illumines all things. Human beings, endowed with intelligence and love, and drawn by the fullness of Christ, are called to lead all creatures back to their Creator.

182. An assessment of the environmental impact of business ventures and projects demands transparent political processes involving a free exchange of views. On the other hand, the forms of corruption which conceal the actual environmental impact of a given project, in exchange for favours, usually produce specious agreements which fail to inform adequately and to allow for full debate. 2ff7e9595c
